Bring Your Own AI
LeadFlowX can run on the built-in AI or on your own AI account. Connect a provider and API key when you want full control over which model powers your enrichment, scoring, and outreach.
Where to find it
Open AI Agents in the sidebar. In the top-right corner you'll see a small chip that shows your current AI setup:
- Set up AI — nothing is connected yet
- Powered by [provider] — your own provider is active
- AI: Platform — you're using the built-in AI
Click the chip to open the AI Engine page, where everything below lives.
Choose how your AI runs
On the AI Engine page you pick one of four modes:
- Built-in AI — let the platform handle everything, no setup needed
- Your AI only — use just your connected provider
- Your AI, with built-in backup — your provider first, the built-in AI if it's ever unavailable
- Built-in AI, with your backup — the built-in AI first, your provider as the fallback
Connect your own provider
Pick your provider — LeadFlowX supports:
- OpenAI
- Anthropic
- Google Gemini
- Cohere
- Mistral
- Azure OpenAI
- Custom — any OpenAI-compatible endpoint
Then fill in the details:
| Parameter | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Nickname | optional | A label so you can recognize this provider later. |
| Model | text | The model name from your provider — for example gpt-4o-mini, claude-sonnet-4-5, or gemini-2.0-flash.(required) |
| API key | secret | Your provider's key. It's stored encrypted and never shown again — you'll only see the last few characters, with a Replace option to swap it later.(required) |
| Endpoint URL | Custom & Azure only | The web address of your endpoint. Azure also asks for a Deployment name and, optionally, an API version. |
You can optionally fine-tune the temperature, max tokens, and reasoning level to match how you want the AI to respond.
Test and activate
Click Test my AI to send a quick live request — you'll see whether it worked, how fast it responded, and a sample reply. Saving a provider switches it on automatically. You can store several providers and switch the active one with Use; only one is active at a time, and you can edit or delete any of them.
- Only an Owner or Admin can add, edit, or switch AI providers. Everyone else sees the setup as read-only.
- Your choice applies to the whole workspace — enrichment, intent scoring, and outreach drafting all use the active provider.
